Gundog Foundation Class
£25 per Session
The starting class for puppies and older dogs that are new to Gundog training.
Age does not matter - an adult beginner is just as welcome as a puppy. this class develops the essential skills needed before progressing to GAP Level 1 training. We will work on; engagement and focus, recall foundations, lead walking, sit and steadiness, self-management, retrieving, hunting and searching, whistle cues and rewarding your dog.
GAP Level 1 Pet Gundog Training
£25 per session
For dogs that have developed there beginner skills and are ready to work towards the Gundog Assessment Programme Level 1.
This class builds on the foundations and begins bringing the individual skills together.
Training may include; off the lead exploration, reliable recall, on-lead headwork, sit and steadiness, self-management, developing a reliable retrieve chain, memory retrieves and stop-whistle foundations.
GAP Level 2 Pet Gundog Training
£25 per session
For dogs that have achieved, or are confidently working beyond, their GAP Level 1 skills.
This class develops greater control, confidence and teamwork while gradually introducing more distance, excitement and distractions.
Training may include: off-lead heelwork, steadiness and self-management, strengthening the retrieve chain, marked and memory retrieves, directional retrieves, retrieving around distractions, and more.
Taster Session - Individual Session

Sign up for a taster session to see if our training is the right fit for you and your dog.
These sessions are one-to-one with you and your dog. Suitable for dogs of all ages and sizes.
Follow on Session
One-to-one
1-1 £40
Once you’ve attended a taster session or one of our classes, you can book a follow-on session to continue working towards your training goals. We’ll build on what you and your dog have learned and help you progress.

Build your dog's confidence and build on their skills with personalised one-to-one training classes tailored to you and your dog. Suitable for all dogs of all ages and sizes.

How Classes Work
These are flexible, ongoing classes—not fixed-length courses. You can book the available dates that suit you and remain within your current class until you and your dog are ready to progress. New clients will normally begin in Puppy & Beginner Pet Gundog Foundations unless another class has been agreed with Tracy following an assessment or one-to-one session. All training is positive, reward-based and designed to make gundog training enjoyable for both ends of the lead.
GAP Level 1 and Level 2 Assessments
Tracy is qualified and approved to conduct Gundog Assessment Programme Level 1 and Level 2 assessments. The GAP provides clear and measurable goals for pet and working gundogs. It uses ethical, evidence-led and non-coercive training methods, allowing every dog and handler to progress at a pace that is right for them.
Assessments are completely optional. Your dog does not need to work on a shoot to participate. The programme can simply be enjoyed as a rewarding activity that provides appropriate enrichment, develops useful everyday skills and strengthens the relationship between you and your dog.
Assessments can be arranged when Tracy feels that you and your dog are ready.
